WhatsApp Channel (broadcast channel)
A WhatsApp Channel is a one-to-many broadcast feed in the Updates tab of WhatsApp where an organisation posts public updates that followers read without a chat: no replies, no personalisation, no per-follower delivery data, and followers' numbers are hidden from the channel owner. Channels are free, run from the WhatsApp app, and are separate from the Business API.

Why it matters
Channels are useful for public announcements to an audience that opts to follow, but they are not a CRM tool: you do not know who your followers are, cannot message them individually, and cannot see who read what. Businesses that need conversations, consent records and attribution use API broadcasts; channels can sit alongside as a public feed.
In VGraple CRM
Channels are not part of the API and are managed in the WhatsApp app; VGraple CRM focuses on the conversational side. A common pattern is to post in the channel and invite followers to start a chat with a wa.me link, which brings them into the CRM with consent.
