In short

  • WhatsApp campaigns require Brevo's Professional plan, reported from roughly $499/month, plus a per-message session fee on top of Meta's own rate
  • Brevo is an email-marketing platform with WhatsApp added as one more channel; VGraple CRM is built around WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger as its core product
  • Brevo has no WhatsApp shared inbox for live agent conversations; VGraple CRM ships one on every plan, including Free

Verdict

Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) is an email-marketing platform that added WhatsApp campaigns as one more channel, and it gates that channel behind its Professional plan, reported at roughly $499 a month, on top of a per-message session fee. That is a large subscription to unlock WhatsApp for a business that does not also need Brevo's email volume. VGraple CRM is priced for WhatsApp and chat usage directly, with a shared inbox and CRM pipeline for live conversations that Brevo's public pages do not describe. If email is genuinely your primary channel and WhatsApp is a secondary add-on, Brevo's single-platform convenience has real appeal; if WhatsApp is your primary channel, VGraple CRM is dramatically cheaper and built for it specifically.

Pricing

Brevo's own pricing page (brevo.com/pricing) is JavaScript-rendered and did not return usable price text to our automated fetch on 26 Aug 2026. We instead confirmed the WhatsApp-specific facts from Brevo's help centre and feature page (help.brevo.com and brevo.com/features/whatsapp-campaigns, checked the same day) plus independent pricing trackers for the Professional plan's headline price, which we present as approximate.

USD converted at Rs 88 = $1. WhatsApp campaigns require Brevo's Professional plan (reported from ~$499/month, aimed at businesses sending over 150,000 emails a month; the exact current figure could not be confirmed directly on Brevo's own pricing page), plus a per-message session fee Brevo's help centre states as EUR 0.1131 for a marketing message; we use Meta's India rate (Rs 0.8631 marketing) for the totals above since it is the figure both platforms would actually bill against for Indian recipients, and Brevo does not publish an India-specific number on the pages we accessed. VGraple CRM's Starter, Growth and Scale plans (Rs 1,499, Rs 3,499 and Rs 7,999/month) include WhatsApp from the entry tier, with Meta's rate passed through at zero markup.

Where Brevo is stronger

  • Email marketing depth. Brevo's core product, email campaigns, automation, deliverability tooling and segmentation, is far more developed than any email capability VGraple CRM offers (VGraple CRM does not have an email-marketing product at all).
  • One platform for many channels. For a business that already runs email, SMS and web push through Brevo, adding WhatsApp as one more channel in the same dashboard has real convenience value over running a separate WhatsApp-only tool.
  • Broad, established review base. Brevo holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 2,716 reviews on G2 and 3,300+ reviews on Capterra at 4.4 out of 5 (checked 26 Aug 2026), a large, mature review history built primarily on its email product.
  • A genuinely free tier for email. Brevo's Free plan is a real starting point for email marketing at no cost, even though it excludes WhatsApp.

Where VGraple CRM is stronger

  • WhatsApp priced for WhatsApp usage, not gated behind an email tier. Brevo requires its Professional plan, priced around email volume, just to unlock WhatsApp campaigns at all. VGraple CRM's plans are priced for chat usage directly, starting at Rs 1,499 a month.
  • A shared inbox for live WhatsApp conversations. Brevo's public pages describe campaign sending and workflow automation, not a dedicated inbox for a support team replying to inbound WhatsApp messages in real time. VGraple CRM ships this on every plan.
  • Delivery protection specific to WhatsApp's real rules. Pacing, daily portfolio budget tracking, auto-park on a paused template and suppression logic tuned to Meta's error codes are documented VGraple CRM capabilities; none of this is described on Brevo's WhatsApp feature page.
  • Instagram, Messenger and web chat in the same inbox. VGraple CRM unifies these with WhatsApp; Brevo's WhatsApp campaigns feature does not extend to Instagram or Messenger conversations.
  • A free plan that includes WhatsApp. VGraple CRM's Free plan includes WhatsApp from day one. Brevo's free tier excludes WhatsApp entirely.
  • Appointments and payments in chat. Neither is confirmed as part of Brevo's WhatsApp feature set; VGraple CRM includes both standard.

Switching from Brevo

  1. Confirm WABA ownership. If your WhatsApp Business Account is in your own Meta Business Portfolio, which is standard when connecting a number to Brevo directly, you can move it without depending on Brevo.
  2. Reconnect through Meta's Embedded Signup. This transfers the number to VGraple CRM as the new Tech Provider; its history and quality rating with Meta are unaffected.
  3. Export your contacts. Brevo contacts, lists and custom attributes export as a CSV; import into VGraple CRM's contacts module and remap fields.
  4. Recreate your approved templates. Templates belong to the WABA and submitting platform, not Brevo, so rebuild each one in VGraple CRM's template builder and resubmit for Meta's review.
  5. Rebuild WhatsApp-specific workflows. Any automation you built in Brevo that triggers a WhatsApp message needs to be recreated in VGraple CRM's flow builder or sequence editor; keep your email workflows in Brevo if you plan to continue using it for that channel.
  6. Decide whether to keep Brevo for email. Many businesses run VGraple CRM for WhatsApp, Instagram and Messenger while keeping Brevo (or another tool) for email marketing specifically, since VGraple CRM does not replace an email-marketing platform.

What reviewers say

Brevo holds a 4.5 out of 5 rating from 2,716 reviews on G2 and a 4.4 out of 5 average across 3,300+ reviews on Capterra (checked 26 Aug 2026), among the largest review counts of any competitor in this comparison series, built up primarily around its email-marketing product. Reviewers consistently praise ease of use and value for money on the email side; the most common criticism is around free-plan limitations, and independent trackers report Brevo tightened contact limits on its Starter and Standard tiers in October 2025.

VGraple CRM does not yet have a comparable public review count to cite honestly. Brevo's review volume is overwhelmingly about its email product rather than WhatsApp specifically, so a large aggregate score there tells you little about the WhatsApp experience itself.

Frequently asked questions

What does Brevo charge for WhatsApp?
WhatsApp campaigns are only available from Brevo's Professional plan, reported at roughly $499/month by independent pricing trackers, plus a per-message session fee reported at EUR 0.1131 per marketing message on Brevo's own help centre. We could not load Brevo's pricing page directly (it is JavaScript-rendered) to confirm the current Professional price on 26 Aug 2026, so treat the subscription figure as approximate.
Is Brevo's WhatsApp fee the same as Meta's own rate?
Brevo's help centre states EUR 0.1131 per marketing message, which is close to Meta's own published rate in some markets but is denominated in Euros rather than India's rupee rate. For the India-specific totals in the table below we use Meta's own published India rate (Rs 0.8631 marketing) directly, the same way VGraple CRM bills, rather than Brevo's Euro figure, since Brevo does not publish an India-specific rate on the pages we could access.
Does Brevo have a shared inbox for WhatsApp support conversations?
We found no dedicated WhatsApp shared inbox with agent assignment, internal notes and collision detection in Brevo's public feature pages; its strength is campaign sending and marketing automation, not live conversation handling. VGraple CRM's shared inbox with those features ships on every plan, including Free.
Can I move my number from Brevo to VGraple CRM?
Yes, provided your WhatsApp Business Account sits in your own Meta Business Portfolio, which is standard when connecting a number to Brevo directly. You reconnect it to VGraple CRM through Meta's Embedded Signup flow; the number and its Meta history are unaffected by the change.
Do my Brevo WhatsApp templates carry over?
No. Templates belong to the WhatsApp Business Account and the platform that submitted them, not to Brevo, so each approved template needs to be recreated in VGraple CRM's builder and resubmitted to Meta for review.
What does Brevo do better than VGraple CRM?
Brevo is a genuinely strong, low-cost email marketing platform with a much larger contact and campaign-automation feature set for email specifically than VGraple CRM offers; if email is your primary channel and WhatsApp is secondary, Brevo's single-platform convenience for both may outweigh VGraple CRM's WhatsApp-specific depth.
Why does WhatsApp cost so much more on Brevo than on VGraple CRM?
Because WhatsApp on Brevo requires its Professional plan, which is priced primarily for its email volume (aimed at businesses sending over 150,000 emails a month) rather than for WhatsApp usage specifically. A business that only wants WhatsApp ends up paying for a large email-marketing subscription to unlock it. VGraple CRM's plans are priced for WhatsApp and chat usage directly, with no email-volume tier attached.
