In short
- Kaleyra's own pricing page now redirects to Tata Communications' CPaaS page, with no self-serve pricing shown; Kaleyra was acquired by Tata Communications
- It is a global CPaaS covering WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, MMS, voice, video and email through direct carrier connections, aimed at enterprises and developers
- VGraple CRM publishes flat monthly prices and is ready to use without a development team or a sales conversation
Verdict
Kaleyra is now part of Tata Communications' enterprise CPaaS business, covering WhatsApp, SMS, RCS, voice and more through direct carrier connections, aimed at large organisations with development resources to integrate against its APIs. VGraple CRM is a self-serve, ready-to-use WhatsApp CRM with a published price, an inbox, a pipeline and automation, usable by a small team the same day they sign up. If your organisation needs global SMS and voice infrastructure alongside WhatsApp at enterprise scale, Kaleyra's breadth (now backed by Tata Communications) is a legitimate reason to talk to their sales team; for a business team that wants to run WhatsApp sales and support without a developer or a sales call, VGraple CRM is built for that directly.
Pricing
Kaleyra's own pricing page (kaleyra.com/pricing) redirected, when checked on 26 August 2026, to tatacommunications.com/kaleyra/cpaas, a 301 permanent redirect confirming Kaleyra's product now lives under Tata Communications' CPaaS division. That destination page states the platform handles "60Bn+ annual interactions" with "99.99% uptime" and "400+ direct MNO connections," and lists industry solutions for BFSI, healthcare, e-commerce, travel and logistics, but shows no plan names, no prices and no per-message rates anywhere on the page. It closes with a "Schedule A Conversation" call to action rather than a self-serve signup or checkout. Because no platform fee or WhatsApp per-message rate is published, we cannot build an accurate monthly total for Kaleyra.

Meta's own India rate card (April 2026), Rs 0.8631 per marketing template message and Rs 0.115 per utility or authentication message, is what VGraple CRM passes through with no markup. Whether Kaleyra's undisclosed pricing includes a margin on top of Meta's card is not stated on the pages available today.

Where Kaleyra is stronger
Multi-channel infrastructure at global scale. SMS, WhatsApp, RCS, MMS, voice, video and email through direct connections to over 400 mobile network operators, per the page checked today, is a genuinely broader messaging infrastructure than a WhatsApp-focused CRM offers.
Tata Communications' backing. As part of Tata Communications' CPaaS division, Kaleyra now sits inside a large, established telecom infrastructure company, which matters for enterprise buyers evaluating vendor stability and global network reach.
Built for regulated industries. BFSI, healthcare, e-commerce, travel and logistics are named industry focuses on the page checked today, suggesting compliance and integration patterns tailored to sectors with stricter regulatory requirements than a typical SMB.
Reviewer sentiment on support and ease of use. Search-indexed G2 results show 4.5 out of 5 from 14 reviews, with users specifically praising ease of use and support responsiveness, alongside notes that WhatsApp template approval can be slow and pricing runs high.
Where VGraple CRM is stronger
Published, flat pricing. VGraple CRM's plans and INR prices are visible on its pricing page today; Kaleyra's destination page has no prices at all and asks every visitor to schedule a conversation.
No markup on Meta's charges. VGraple CRM is a Meta Tech Provider; Meta bills your WhatsApp conversations directly at its published India rate card, with nothing added.
Ready to use without developers. VGraple CRM's inbox, pipeline and flow builder work from sign-up. Kaleyra's own materials describe cloud-based APIs for integration into applications, which assumes a development team is available to build the business-facing tools on top.
A leads pipeline, lead scoring and appointments. Kaleyra is messaging infrastructure with no CRM layer; VGraple CRM's Kanban pipeline, transparent lead score and Calendly-synced appointment booking come with every plan.
Coexistence. Keep the WhatsApp Business app on your phone and connect the API to the same number at the same time, with two-way sync, a packaged capability a raw CPaaS does not offer.
Built for Indian SMBs specifically. VGraple CRM's plans, support hours and India data hosting (Oracle Cloud, Mumbai) are built around the Indian SMB and growing-business segment; Kaleyra's positioning, even under Tata Communications, targets large enterprise accounts.
A shorter path from sign-up to sending. Because Kaleyra's own page routes every enquiry to a scheduled call, the realistic time from first contact to a working WhatsApp integration includes a sales cycle, a scoping conversation and likely a development sprint against its API. VGraple CRM's setup wizard, sandbox number and guided Embedded Signup flow are built so a business owner with no developer on staff can connect a real WhatsApp number and send a first message the same day they sign up, which matters most for a team that does not have months to spend evaluating enterprise CPaaS vendors before it can start talking to customers.
Switching from Kaleyra
- Confirm the WhatsApp Business Account's home. If your WABA sits in your own Meta Business Portfolio (typical for an enterprise integration built directly against Kaleyra's API), reconnect it to VGraple CRM through Embedded Signup; the number's quality rating and messaging tier carry over.
- Carry templates across. Templates belong to the WABA and stay approved if the WABA does not change; if you move to a new WABA, copy the wording from your Kaleyra console before resubmitting.
- Export contacts from your own systems. Since Kaleyra is infrastructure rather than a CRM, contacts likely live in whatever system your developers built on top of it; export them as a CSV for import into VGraple CRM.
- Rebuild integrations on VGraple CRM's API. Expect the custom logic your team built against Kaleyra's API to need rebuilding against VGraple CRM's own REST API and webhooks; this is typically the largest single piece of work in a switch away from a CPaaS provider.
- Run a parallel period. Keep the Kaleyra integration live in a monitoring capacity for at least a week after cutover to catch any edge case your custom build handled that the new setup has not yet been tested against.
What reviewers say
Search-indexed results for Kaleyra's G2 listing, checked 26 August 2026 (G2's own page returned an access-denied response to a direct fetch), show 4.5 out of 5 from 14 reviews on one listing (a separate G2 seller page for Kaleyra shows 22 reviews, suggesting review counts are split across multiple product listings for the same company). Reviewers describe straightforward integration for use cases like OTP delivery and praise the simplicity of managing SMS and WhatsApp together, while also noting slower WhatsApp template approval and pricing on the higher side. We did not locate a usable Capterra listing for Kaleyra specifically in this pass. VGraple CRM's own review presence is newer; check its current listing directly.
If your organisation genuinely needs global SMS, RCS and voice infrastructure with direct carrier connections alongside WhatsApp, Kaleyra under Tata Communications is worth a sales conversation; for WhatsApp-first sales and support with a published price, VGraple CRM does not require that conversation to get started.
