Display name
The display name is the business name shown to customers in the WhatsApp chat header for an API number. Meta reviews it against its naming rules: it must match your legal or trading name, may not be generic or purely descriptive, and cannot include emojis, excessive capitalisation or prohibited words.

Why it matters
An unapproved display name blocks templates and sending beyond test numbers, and a name that Meta later judges non-compliant triggers a review that can stall a campaign. The name is also part of trust: customers see it before they open the chat, and for the green tick it must match the brand Meta verifies.
In VGraple CRM
You set the display name during Embedded Signup; VGraple CRM shows the review status on the channel page and warns before you submit a name that violates a known rule (generic terms, all caps, punctuation). Changing it later goes through Meta's review again, which the display name rules guide walks through.
