Meta Tech Provider
A Meta Tech Provider is a software company approved by Meta to connect businesses to the WhatsApp Cloud API through Embedded Signup without owning the customer's account. The business keeps its own WhatsApp Business Account and pays Meta's message charges directly; the Tech Provider supplies and bills only the software.

Why it matters
The Tech Provider programme, opened widely in 2023 and 2024, is what made no-markup WhatsApp software possible. Because the account stays with the business, you can change software without migrating the number, see Meta's charges on your own Meta invoice, and revoke a provider's access from Business Manager at any time. Meta reviews Tech Providers for app quality, policy compliance and data handling before granting access.
