Business Solution Provider (BSP)
A Business Solution Provider (BSP) is a company Meta authorises to resell WhatsApp Business API access. A BSP typically owns or co-owns the WhatsApp Business Account, bills you for Meta's message charges with its own markup, and provides the software layer. Meta lists BSPs in its partner directory.

Why it matters
The BSP model decides who pays Meta and who controls the account. With a BSP, Meta's per-message charges flow through the BSP's invoice, often with a markup or a minimum, and leaving the BSP can mean migrating the number. Larger enterprises value the BSP's single invoice; smaller businesses often find the markup and the lock-in hard to justify once Meta's own Cloud API became free to host.
