Markup on Meta rates
A markup is the amount a WhatsApp software vendor adds to Meta's published per-message rates when it bills message charges to the customer, expressed as a percentage (often 5 to 20 percent) or a fixed amount per message. BSPs that own the account and pay Meta on the customer's behalf commonly apply one; Tech Providers cannot, because Meta bills the customer directly.

Why it matters
At scale, markup is the largest hidden cost in WhatsApp software: 15 percent on Rs 1 lakh of monthly marketing is Rs 15,000, more than most platform fees. Markups are often invisible because the vendor's rate card simply shows a higher number than Meta's, or uses a currency conversion in its favour.
In VGraple CRM
There is no markup. Meta bills your Business Portfolio directly at its published rates, and the pricing pages quote Meta's rates by country so you can check. The platform subscription is the only VGraple CRM charge.
