Platform fee
A platform fee is the recurring subscription a business pays to a WhatsApp software provider for the product itself: the inbox, automation, broadcasts, CRM, support and hosting. It is distinct from Meta's per-message charges, which are set by Meta and, with a Tech Provider, billed by Meta directly; with a BSP, the two are often bundled on one invoice.

Why it matters
Comparing vendors means separating the two lines. A low platform fee with a markup on messages costs more at volume; a higher fee with zero markup costs less. Watch for setup fees, per-agent charges, conversation quotas and overage rates hidden in the platform line.
