Template rejection
A template rejection is Meta's decision not to approve a submitted message template. Reasons include variables that could hold arbitrary content, formatting problems, missing or mismatched samples, prohibited content, mismatch between the proposed category and the text, duplicate templates, and wording that reads as abusive, misleading or in breach of the WhatsApp Commerce or Business policies.

Why it matters
Rejections cost days when a campaign is waiting, and repeated rejections of policy-violating content count against the account. Most rejections are mechanical (a variable at the end of a line, no sample, a URL in the body) and avoidable with a checklist; the rest are category mismatches that need a rewrite rather than a resubmit.
In VGraple CRM
The builder runs the checklist before submission: variable placement, samples, button limits, header rules, category-wording fit, and known rejection phrases. Rejected templates show Meta's reason mapped to a plain fix, and the template rejection guide covers every reason code we have seen with before-and-after examples.
