Meta catalog
A Meta catalog is a structured list of products or services (name, image, price, description, availability, retailer ID) managed in Meta Commerce Manager. One catalog can be connected to a WhatsApp Business Account to power product messages and the in-chat shop, and to Facebook and Instagram shops and ads at the same time.

Why it matters
The catalog is the single source for everything commerce-related across Meta's apps: a price change made once shows in WhatsApp product messages, the WhatsApp profile shop and Instagram. Meta reviews catalog items against its commerce policy, and items that fail review do not show in WhatsApp, which is the usual reason a product "disappears".

Connect the catalog under Settings, Channels, Meta Catalog; products are then available to the flow builder's product node, to agents in the inbox composer, and to catalog templates. Order messages from customers arrive with item details, and the catalog guide covers item review states and the CSV feed format.
