Error 130472 means Meta did not send a marketing message because the recipient is part of a Meta experiment on marketing messages. It is not a problem with your template, number or account, and retrying the same message will not change the result.
Symptom
A marketing template to one recipient fails with 130472 while the same template reaches other contacts. The failed message in the inbox, the broadcast report and the sequence or flow run all show the code.
Why it happens
- Meta runs experiments on how marketing messages are delivered to some WhatsApp users. A user inside an experiment may not receive marketing templates from a business for the length of the test.
- It applies to the recipient, not to your business. The same person is held back for every business, and Meta does not tell you when the experiment ends.
Fix
- Do not retry the same marketing template to this recipient. The retry is held back the same way.
- If the message is genuinely transactional (an order, a booking, a code the customer asked for), send it with a UTILITY or AUTHENTICATION template. The experiment concerns marketing messages.
- If the person has messaged you in the last 24 hours, answer inside the open window with a normal message. A customer-service reply is not a marketing template.
- Leave the contact in your list. There is nothing to repair on the contact and no opt-out has happened.
In VGraple CRM
VGraple CRM records the code against the message and shows Meta's reason in the delivery detail. The recipient is not marked as opted out and nothing in your audience needs cleaning. For a broadcast, the row is counted as failed for a Meta reason, not as a template or number problem.
