Error 131021 means the message was addressed to the same phone number it is sent from. WhatsApp does not deliver a message to its own sender. Send test messages to a different number, such as a colleague's phone, and keep your own business number out of test audiences.
Symptom
A test message or one contact in a broadcast fails with 131021. It almost always happens when someone tests using the business number itself.
Why it happens
- The WhatsApp Business number connected to VGraple CRM is also in your contacts, an import list or a test segment.
- A message from that number to that number cannot be delivered.
Fix
- Test with a different phone number that is on WhatsApp, such as a personal or colleague number.
- Remove the business number from test segments, imports and broadcast audiences.
- If a contact has the business number saved by mistake, correct or delete the contact.
- Resend after the audience is clean.
In VGraple CRM
A failed row with 131021 is counted as a Meta failure for that one contact only. The rest of the broadcast is unaffected, and nothing about your number's health changes.
