AUTOMATION AND AI
Automation rule
An automation rule is a simple event-driven instruction inside the CRM: when a defined event happens (a lead is created from a source, a conversation changes stage, a tag is added, a form is submitted, a payment is recorded, an SLA is breached), perform actions such as sending a template, assigning to a team, enrolling in a sequence, updating fields or calling a webhook.

Why it matters
Rules are the glue between the conversation and the process: the appointment reminder that fires on "confirmed", the sales assignment that follows a lead's source, the Slack ping when a VIP writes in. They are lighter than flows because they do not converse; they react.
In VGraple CRM
Rules live under Automation with a trigger, optional conditions and an ordered list of actions; the first matching rule wins for lead-routing rules, and every run is logged. The automation rules guide lists the events and actions, and the stage settings for leads, appointments and conversations expose the most common rules inline.
