Errors 3441045 and 3441034 both mean Meta has decided the phone number cannot be connected to the WhatsApp Business Platform yet. They are decisions Meta makes about the number, inside its own connection window, before VGraple CRM is ever contacted, so nothing in your workspace settings changes the outcome. The two codes are not the same, though: Meta explains 3441045 in its documentation, while it does not document 3441034 at all.
Symptom
You press Connect in coexistence mode (or the standard connect button) in Settings, then Channels, then WhatsApp. Meta's window opens, and then one of three things happens:
- The window shows the message "Your phone number isn't eligible to connect to the WhatsApp Business Platform", with code 3441045.
- The window closes or stops with "This phone number is not eligible to register or migrate", code 3441034, and no QR code ever appears.
- On Meta's "Add your WhatsApp phone number" screen, your number is listed with an orange Ineligible badge.
In every case no channel is created, and the channel list still reads "No channel connected" in VGraple CRM. Retrying gives the same result.
Which code do you have?
Three codes look alike to a customer who only sees a greyed-out number, and their fixes have nothing in common. Keep them apart.
| Code | Meta's message | What Meta is judging | Documented by Meta |
|---|---|---|---|
| 3441045 | Your phone number isn't eligible to connect to the WhatsApp Business Platform. | The number: not enough real WhatsApp Business app use yet | Yes, in the Embedded Signup errors table |
| 3441042 | This feature is unavailable for phone numbers from this region. | The country the number belongs to | Yes, in the same table |
| 3441034 | This phone number is not eligible to register or migrate. | Not stated by Meta | No |
What does error 3441045 mean?
Error 3441045 means Meta has not yet seen enough real use of the number in the WhatsApp Business app to let it onto the platform. It is a statement about the number's history. It is not about your country, your business, or anything you did wrong.
This is the usual explanation when the number is new, was registered recently, or is a spare "test" number that has few real conversations. A number that already carries months of ordinary customer chats typically connects without this error.
Meta does not publish how much activity is enough, and it does not publish a waiting period. What we can offer is our own guidance, based on how numbers we have seen behave, and it is not a Meta rule:
- Use the number for ordinary chats with real customers in the WhatsApp Business app. A week or two of genuine conversations is a sensible starting point.
- Do not delete the number or register it again while you wait. Meta does not document what that does, but starting over is the opposite of building history.
- Open the app regularly so the number does not look dormant.
- Then run Connect in coexistence mode again.
If you would rather not wait, connect a different number that already has a long history in the WhatsApp Business app. With coexistence the number keeps working on the phone exactly as before, and your existing chats and contacts are brought across. See Connect in coexistence mode.
Example
A clinic buys a fresh SIM, installs the WhatsApp Business app and tries to connect it to the CRM the same afternoon. Meta answers with 3441045. The clinic uses the number for its normal appointment chats for a couple of weeks, connects again, and the QR code appears.
What does error 3441042 mean?
Error 3441042 is the country message. Meta words it as "This feature is unavailable for phone numbers from this region", and its documented resolution is to use a number from a different region.
It matters here only as a contrast. If you were shown 3441045 or 3441034, Meta did not send the country message, which is a useful piece of evidence that the country is not what stopped you. Meta also publishes no list of countries for coexistence in its onboarding requirements, which cover the app version (2.24.17 or higher) and platform-side requirements, and no geographic rule.
What does error 3441034 mean?
Error 3441034 reads "This phone number is not eligible to register or migrate", and Meta does not document it. We have received it from Meta in production, but we have not been told which of Meta's checks the number failed, so we do not state a cause.
What we can say, plainly:
- It is decided by Meta. It appears before any step of the connection flow, which is why no QR code is reachable whichever button you press.
- It was not the country code. Meta has a separate code for that (3441042), and it was not what Meta sent.
- It is not a fault in the connection parameters. The coexistence launch we send matches what Meta's own Integration Helper generates.
- It sits in the same family as 3441045. Both are about the number being eligible, but we cannot say that 3441034 means the same thing as 3441045, so the "use the app for a week or two" advice above is not a promise that it will clear this one.
One related check is worth doing, because it is a documented block with a clear fix: a number enrolled in Meta's automatic events fails with error 3441061 instead. If you use the WhatsApp Business app's automatic lists, read Error 3441061: number linked to automatic events first. We are not saying that 3441061 causes 3441034. We are saying it is one documented blocker you can rule in or out yourself.
What does the orange "Ineligible" badge mean?
The badge on Meta's "Add your WhatsApp phone number" screen is not a restriction on your business. That screen belongs to standard Embedded Signup, which adds a new number to the platform, and a number already registered and in daily use on the WhatsApp Business app cannot be added that way. Meta marks it Ineligible for that reason.
The test number Meta creates alongside your WhatsApp Business Account carries the same badge because it is already registered. The route for a number that lives on the app is coexistence, which shows a QR code instead of that dropdown. The full explanation is in Error 3441061, in the section on the Ineligible badge, and this article does not change anything it says.
Do not choose the Meta test number from the same screen to get past the block. It creates a channel for a number that is not yours and does nothing to bring your real number closer to connecting.
Fix
- Read the exact code. Screenshot the error screen. If there is no code, it is usually because the window closed before Meta sent anything.
- If it is 3441045, build up genuine use in the WhatsApp Business app as described above, then retry. Or connect a number with an established history.
- If it is 3441042, that number's country is not supported for this method. Use a number from a supported country.
- If it is 3441034, do not keep retrying. Message us from Support inside VGraple CRM with the three items listed below, and we will raise it with Meta.
- Check the app. Coexistence needs the WhatsApp Business app at version 2.24.17 or higher, and the number must be the one signed in on that phone.
What to send us
Message us from Support inside VGraple CRM with:
- A screenshot of the exact error screen, including any session ID Meta shows.
- The phone number in full international format.
- The name of your Meta business portfolio.
VGraple is a Meta Tech Provider, so we raise it with Meta and give them those details. We cannot override Meta's decision, and we cannot tell you in advance how Meta will answer or how long it will take.
What you can do while it is being sorted
Your workspace does not have to sit idle. The sandbox number that comes with every workspace lets you use the inbox, build flows, draft templates and test automations with no connected number, and what you set up carries over once your real number connects. See Try the sandbox number.
Prevention
Connect numbers that are already in everyday use in the WhatsApp Business app, rather than a freshly registered spare. If you plan a new line for the CRM, start using it for real customer chats early, so it has history by the time you connect it. The comparison of the two account types in WhatsApp Business app vs API account explains what changes either way, and Connect a WhatsApp number lists the checks to run before you start.
